Does this look like $53 million to you?

I wonder who the poor basterd was that had to count it all…and if he’s still poor.

53

Translation might be wrong, it could be $205 million actually.

Weird personals

Every now and then you come across a personal ad which is just not right.

And she thought she was special…

Poor thing, I wonder if the guy is ever gonna call :)

Blogger.com spreading malware

According to Fortinet, Genuine-looking blogs on topics as wide-ranging as Star Wars, school, furniture, Christmas, cars and girlfriends are now being created to host a variety of script-initiated malware.

It would be impossible for visitors to spot the danger of these sites, which now number in the hundreds, the company said. Although they look genuine, it appears that all the sites have been specially crafted to fool visitors.

Captain America is alive!

A few days ago, Marvel comics gave me and probably half the people of my generation the scare of our lives; Captain America was shot dead!

But wait, what have we found here on the internet ….

Captain America

Dear Abby

Dear Abby,

I’ve never written to you before, but I really need your advice on what could be a crucial decision. I’ve suspected for some time now that my wife has been cheating on me.

The usual signs… Phone rings but if I answer, the caller hangs up.
My wife has been going out with the girls a lot recently although when I ask their names she always says, “Just some friends from work, you don’t know them.”

I always stay awake to look out for her taxi coming home, but she always walks down the drive. Although I can hear a car driving off, as if she has gotten out of the car round the corner. Why? Maybe she wasn’t in a taxi?

I once picked her cell phone up just to see what time it was and she went berserk and screamed that I should never touch her phone again and why was I checking up on her.

Anyway, I have never approached the subject with my wife. I think deep down I just didn’t want to know the truth, but last night she went out again and I decided to really check on her.

I decided I was going to park my Harley Davidson motorcycle next to the garage and then hide behind it so I could get a good view of the whole street when she came home. It was at that moment, crouching behind my Harley, that I noticed that the valve covers on my engine seemed to be leaking a little oil.

Is this something I can fix myself or should I take it back to the dealer?

Are we disconnecting by plugging in?

Our MP3 player is the walkman of the 21st century and nearly as common as to have a cell phone. Everyone has one and everyone uses them; especially in crowded places like the subway, shops or elevators.

Would you start singing in the middle of the elevator amidst 10 other people you never saw? Would you be embarrased or just not give a damn? It seems that, like with cameras where people feel anonymous behind their lenses, these gadgets have some sort of magic power granting the user invisability. Hence the noise pollution bestowed upon others is not a bother for the user at all. They’re invisable, non-existent.

The best part of this public annoyance; trying to ask some one if they could turn the sound down a bit so you don’t have to listen to their favorite song while your trying to read your newspaper or even have a conversation with someone else.
You will most likely be told to mind your own business or they will simply ignore you, which they can since your invisable.

People just like the rest of us but once plugged in they will shut you out.

It seems technical and human evolution don’t go hand in hand on every occasion.
